Hi all!
I have learned that VEM and YASKAWA provides normal sized motors with permanent magnet rotors.
The most interesting type for us is the 3-ph./400V/4p/ca.2kW.
What we think of, is to change a normal induction motor for a PM to get better dynamics and specially more torque at low speeds on a MM440 controlled screw conveyor (with gear). Exact speed is not a requirement.
- Did anyone of you try something like this?
- Some more info about comparison between PM and conventional motors would be appreciated.
Especially torque/speed curves.
