Hello experts,
Firstly, my German is not so good (Excuse me). I just started writing my master thesis and my initial task is to do some changes to PLC proram. (I am a complete beginner with no background knowledge in PLCs). I have a Beckhoff CX-9020 PLC connected to my notebook and using TC 3.1 with VS 2013. The PLC is connected to my notebook and everything rest is fine, as of my knowledge. When I activate boot project, there is no errors in the code. When I try to login to the PLC, it gives two errors:
1st: (System not connected Ads-Error 0x707: Device is not in a ready state)
2nd: (Login failed for the application port_851)

Tried checking the Beckhoff scripts and couldnt find any answer (maybe I did nt check correctly). So, I hope you guys know the solution for this. I appreciate all the help. Thanks in advance.

Which version Twincat runs on the cx9020?
TC2 or TC3?
CX9020-0112 / Cx9020-0111 Twincat 2 --> Running Twincat 2 on Notebook
CX9020-0115 Twincat 3 --> Running TC3 on Notebook

Different images for the CX9020 can be used and providing TC2 or TC3 functionality.
If you could activate the TC3-project you are on the correct version with the image. Furthermode when you execute the broadcast search you get a feedback which TC-Version is running on the device.

Have you tried to log in a second time to the plc? It is quite ususal that the first Log-On attempt provides the feedback you have seen (don't know why).

Thank you everyone for your super quick replies. It was completely my mistake... excuse me..... I did not build the solution at all first (actually I didnt know this). My PLC is CX9020-0112 (TC2) but I am running TC3 on notebook, now it works without a problem. Thank you all again for the quick replies.
