siemens op17

@bloedi2003

Documentation ProSave, v1.1

ProSave v1.1 is an easy-to-use DOS-utility for the back-up and restore of data to
following SIMATIC HMI devices: OP7/17, C7-633/634, TD17, OP27/37 and TP27/37.
For Backup und restore of data on OP7/17, C7-633/634 and TP17 this programm can be
started from MS-DOS, Windows 95 and Windows NT operating systems. For OP27/37 and TP27/37 the
backup and restore of data can be only operated under MS-DOS and Windows95/98 systems.

For C7-633/634 is backup /restore function available with the
firmware version >= v5.2 that will be delivered with ProTool, v5.2.

Restriction for TD17/OP7/OP17:
To backup and restore project data and recipe data separatly, Firmware version >=5.0 is required.
With firmware version <5.0 project and recipe data will be backuped/restored as a whole. Please note:
It is not possible to restore the recipe data backuped with ProTool < 5.0 to an OP with Firmware
and project of ProTool >= 5.0.

Use of ProSave in a batch file:
ProSave can also be used in a batch file. To see the commands that are
available, type "prosave /?".

$00 Switch OP/TPs to the serial download mode
============================================

Before starting a backup/restore connect your PC/PG to the SIMATIC HMI device and switch it to the serial download mode:

OP7/OP17/TD17 and C7-633/634:
In runtime operation call the standard screen "System" -> "OP Mode" ->
"Download" (in case of TD17 call standard screen "Change modes") to switch to download mode
on the OP. "Ready for transfer" will display on the OP.

OP27/OP37 and TP27/TP37:
In runtime operation call the standard screen "System Settings" and set
the operating mode to "serial download".

If these screens are not available in your configuration, switch power off, press and hold the following two keys
while switching on the power supply:

"ESC" + "Cursor Up".

For TPs switch the power supply off and then on, In the startup
phase press the "SERIAL DOWNLOAD".

Backup Data:
==========

Enter the filename for the backup file which must reside on the hard disk.
If required, copy the backup file to floppy disk after the backup process
has finished.

ProSave recognizes if recipe data is stored on the operator panel. If so,
select the data you want to back up (project only, recipes only or both).
If a memory card is inserted, also select which recipe data is to be saved
(recipe data from flash only).

$03
Restore Data:
==========
Enter the file name of the backup file which must reside on the hard disk.
If the backup file contains both project and recipe data, select the data
you want to be restored (project only, recipes only or both).

Note: When restoring a OP7/17/TD17 or C7-633/634 project only (i.e. without recipe
data), the password data, recipe data and the contrast adjustment
will be erased.
When restoring OP7/17/TD17 or C7-633/634 recipe data only, the password
data and contrast adjustment will be erased.

$05
Set Port:
======
Select the COM-port and the communication rate.

$06
Select Target:
==========
Select your SIMATIC HMI device.

$07
Split/Merge:
=========
The project and recipe data of a OP27/37 or TP27/37 can be larger than the
capacity of a floppy disk. Therefore the data can be split or merged
respectively. Enter file names of split data files / merge data files.
