Hallo Zusammen,

Ich versuche derzeit via Modbus TCP eine Kommunikation Zwischen einer S7 1200 (CPU 1414FC), als Client und einem UR 5(Version3.1),
als Server von Universal Robots zum Laufen zu bekommen.

Während die Modbus Kommunikation zwischen 2 Siemens CPUs in PLCSIM einwandfrei funktioniert,
bekomme ich doch leider nicht die Kommunikation zwischen SPS und Roboter zum Laufen.

Hat da Jemand schon Erfahrungen damit gemacht und kann mir entsprechen weiterhelfen?

hello, i have kind of the same situation trying to communicate through MODBUS with UR10 and i was wondering if it's possible to share a exchange of signals or a configuration in tia portal just to have it as model and trying to understand why i cannot do it, i suppose i am doing something wrong but i cannot figure out what.. (dragoos {at} gmail.

Hello Dragos,

In case you still have troubles with the communictaion with the UR10 you should try it with Profinet. It's a bit easier and its supportet almost 2 Years now from UR.
take a look at the Profinet Guide from the UR helpdesk:

If you still have an older version of the robot, which is only supporting Modbus and you still have troubles with it, just ask.

Thanks for the reply. I know about profinet and i do think the same, it’s much more easy and ok and i already tried and everythin is alright. I have also succeed eith Modbus so everything is alright now. The point is that sometimes i have to comunicate with other modbus machines..
