Hello all,
I have a CX-5130 with 4 EL7041 (X,Y,Z1,Z2 axes) motor terminals. I am trying to do the reversing sequence for the Z1 and Z2 axes. The problem I am facing is, Z1 moves perfectly within target postions (0-10, 0-20, 0-30 etc) but this is not the same with Z2. It has a fixed position or movement. To explain it clearly, when I give the target positions(1&2) as lets say 0 and 20, it moves from 0 to 15(maybe) and its always moves the same distance even if I change the target positions to 0-30, 0-40, 0-50 etc. My question is, how can I make both the motors synchronised ? because, I have a single value for both the z axes in the program. Please help. Thank you.

Hello Oliver,
thank you for the reply. I do not want to couple the motors. What I have is: two axes (Z1 and Z2) with same parameter values. I give the same target position to both of them. One moves and other doesnt (moves a bit less than the target position). When I decrease the target velocity, it perfectly moves to the target position, but doesnt move back. I do not understand why the motor behave differently, when all the parameters are same for both. (Values in the program are also the same.) Please help. Thank you.

If all settings for both motors are identical they will behave the same.
The difference could be on the settings (CoE) of the EL7041. You can identify this if you swap the two EL-modules
The difference could be on the NC settings. You can identify this by changing the link from the NC to the IO.
The difference could be within the PLC (commands..) but this I don't think so. You could identify this by changing the links from the NC to the PLC.

Hello again, hope you all had great holidays.
Regarding GUGA's reply, Today I tried to run the motors in reversing sequence from target position 0 to position 25 with a target velocity of 440 mm/s. The motors doesnt reach the target postion but does the reversing sequence from 0 to may be lets say 15, but when I decrease the velocity to 10mm/s, they move perfectly to the target position and come back. When I decrease the velocity in the program, the motors move to the target position but doent go back. (tried increasing the deceleration , doesnt work.) What changes do I need to make if I want to move the motors to target position at high velocity. Thank you all.
